GST REGISTRATION

GST Registration is your company’s formal entry into India’s single tax system. Whether you’re a startup, small enterprise, trader, or service provider, registering under GST (Goods and Services Tax) guarantees legal compliance, provides access to input tax credits, and establishes trust with clients and authorities. GST (Goods and Services Tax) is a comprehensive, destination-based indirect tax paid on the supply of goods and services in India.

What is GST Registration?

GST Registration is the legal process by which a business obtains a unique
GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number) from the government, enabling it to:

  • Collect GST from customers
  • Claim input tax credit on purchases
  • Legally operate across states
  • Participate in government tenders and e-commerce

Why GST Registration is Essential

o Legal Mandate – Required under Section 22 & 24 of the CGST Act for  interstate trade or turnover above ₹20 lakhs.
o E-Commerce Compliance – Mandatory for online platforms regardless of
turnover.
o Input Tax Credit (ITC) – Enables tax credit claims, improving cost
efficiency.
o Legitimacy & Credibility – Enhances professional image and trust with
customers and partners.
o Access to Opportunities – Required for government tenders, B2B contracts, and corporate tie-ups.
o Avoidance of Penalties – Non-compliance can lead to fines, legal notices,
and business disruption.

GST FILING

GST Filing refers to the official process of making returns to the Goods and Services Tax (GST) Department so that your firm’s purchases, sales, output GST collected, and input GST paid are accounted for. It is mandatory for every business that is registered with GST to submit periodic GST returns in order to remain law abiding. GST Filing is regulated by the Goods and Services Tax Act, 2017, and is compulsory for all entities possessing a valid GSTIN (Goods and Services Tax Identification Number).
◻ GSTR-1: The Digital Declaration of Outward Supplies
GSTR-1 is a statutory tax return submitted quarterly or monthly under the CGST Act, 2017, being the formal ledger of all the outward supplies (i.e., sales/revenue).  For an e-commerce website selling goods or services, GSTR-1 is the electronic confirmation of its B2B and B2C transactions, which facilitates the reconciliation of taxes through Input Tax Credit (ITC) by the Government and purchasers.
◻ GSTR-3B: The Statutory Tax Payment Summary
GSTR-3B is a self-calculated consolidated return submitted on a monthly basis, recording summary amounts of outward (sales) and inward (purchases) supplies, and serves to calculate and pay GST liability. For a website, this serves as the statutory tool of actual tax payment, ensuring compliance and prevention of penal exposure.

Due Dates & Penalties
